These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RentStalk website, AI agents on WhatsApp, web application, and free tools (together, the "Services"). RentStalk ("we", "us") provides the Services. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. The Services

RentStalk provides AI-assisted rental management for landlords and tenants, along with free online tools. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity on your account.

3. Free tools and templates

RentStalk offers free tools and document templates (including the rent receipt generator, rent + electricity calculator, rent agreement generator, and rent reminder generator) for general informational and convenience purposes only. These tools do not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice, and using them does not create any lawyer–client, advisor, or fiduciary relationship. The documents and calculations they produce are templates and estimates that you must review, customise, and verify for your own situation.

RentStalk makes no warranty that any generated document or calculation is accurate, complete, current, legally valid, or enforceable, or that it complies with the laws of your state or jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for the final content and use of any document, including determining and paying applicable stamp duty and meeting notarisation and registration requirements. For any significant, high-value, or non-standard matter, consult a qualified advocate or professional before relying on these tools.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• send spam, harass others, or misuse messaging features;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Services;
• upload content you do not have the right to share.

5. Payments

Some features are offered free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, the fees, billing terms, and refund conditions will be shown to you before you purchase.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, branding, and content, are owned by RentStalk or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. Documents you generate with the tools are yours to use.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentStalk and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services or the free tools and templates.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold RentStalk harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts in India will have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
